Enisting and Providing Support: Blog 4

  • Questions you have with which your colleagues may be able to provide help and support
What is the best way to present my Action Plan to my group?
  • Resources and information you are seeking
I am seeking information about where can parents go to get resources about least restricted environments in Chicago besides the three downtown?

  • Resources and/or information you have found helpful and insightful
The website that was useful was http://www.ounceofprevention.org, the Look What I Can Do folder connected with the Illinois Board of Education, http://www.isbe.state.il.us/spec-ed/html/lre.htm, communicating with parents and co-workers that deal with children with disabilities/special needs.

  1. Sandra I am planning a power point presentation because I feel I will be more confident about the information I am presenting and it will hold the attention of my audience. I also plan on handing out a fact sheet so they have something to think about.
    Wishing you the best!

  2. Hi Sandra, I am planning on doing a power point presentation to a Cohort group for Infant Toddlers. I am hoping for some good feedback from the group.

  3. Hi Sandra, I also have been having a hard time with visualizing how an advocacy plan looks like, and how it is supposed to look like as a presentation. A few weeks back I read that every advocacy plan is different and unique, and I think we all interpret things a little differently. After reading that I just decided I would just write it and present it how I interpret it, and hope for the best

  4. Hi Sandra, I believe we are all struggling with how to present our action plan. I am doing a power point presentation because it will be easy to follow. I will be presenting to some parents, teachers, education coordinator, and the owner. Afterwards I will open it up for questions and comments.
